Description

It's Veterans Day and I thought I would commemorate the holiday by drawing one of the best companies in all of World War II comics: Easy Company (No not the one from the Band of Brothers series) Easy Company was on the very interesting companies. It was one of the most diverse companies in the US army (Racially segregated at the time) and they saw every form of combat in the European Theatre of WWII. It's members made up of:

First Sergeant Frank Rock: Leader of Easy Company, tough and loyal to his men, Rock lead his troops into victory against the Nazi Menace. Fighting in every part of the European Theatre from North Africa to Germany

Staff Sergeant Horace Eustace "Bulldozer"Canfield: Rock's Second-in-command and best friend. Been with Rock since the start of the war. He is known to be a bulldozer for mowing down platoons of German troops.

Sergeant Joseph"Wildman" Shapiro: Once a college history professor, he is very well spoken, however in combat, he becomes a savage beast, a wildman if you may

Private Jackie Johnson: An African American soldier who was an ex-heavyweight champion. Despite being treated like crap at home, he still signed up for the war. Originally part of the 92nd Division (an all African American division in Italy, the US armed forces were segregated at the time) he joined up with Easy Company and became one of their best soldiers

Corporal Louis "Little Sure Shot" Kiyahani: A Native American of the Apache Tribe, Kiyahani is one of Easy's best snipers and is proud of his Apache heritage decorating his helmet with Feathers.

Private Phillip "Ice Cream Soldier" Mason: A silent soldier who was given the name of the "Ice Cream Soldier" because he was able to fight better in cold weather. The Point man of Easy he scouts the area for potential danger

Private First Class David "Four Eyes" Babinski: The Son of Polish Jews, despite his namesake next to Kiyahani is one of the best sharp shooters in Easy Company
Private Zack Taylor Nolan: The Bazooka man of Easy Co. He's quite the softy but once it battle he always managed to save Easy from a Panzer with his trustee Bazooka.

Corporal Sean "Hot Head" O'Grady: Known for his fiery temper, O'Grady originally fought in the jungles of  Guadalcanal and New Guinea against the Japanese before being transferred to Easy Company taken part in the Normandy landings and sticks by his new buddies besides them pissing him off at times.

Private William "Junior" Watanabe: A Nisei (Second Generation Japanese Americans) Months after the Attack on Pearl Harbor, Watanabe and his family were sent to a Internment Camp, when the army allowed Japanese Americans to fight, he sign up despite his age at 15. Originally part of the 442nd Regiment (The All Japanese American battilion) after his squad was wiped out, he joined up with Easy however they didn't trust him at first because of his heritage, but he later proved to them that he is all American.

Corporal Samuel "Sunny" Garcia: A Mexican American, Garcia is always looking on the Bright side (no pun attended) always the postive one, and showing a smile.

If you already knew I changed some of the origins or added some stuff to Easy Company. You could call this a final farewell to all those WW2 vets. As you know they are all dying off and I want to let them know their sacrifices have not been forgotten. These men fought bravely to keep alive the world we live in today and I say to them thank you
