Stuck in the tar pits

Originally mistaken for water, animals that would go into this would make the worst mistakes of their lives. Tar Pits are like quick sand except you cannot get out even with help. The more you would struggle, the faster you would go down.  Sometimes Predators would see an opprotunity and try to catch the stuck victim, but sadly the predator would be stuck being take down along with it's prey. It's a long and agonizing death. While the Dire Wolf watches, the Mammoth and the Saber Tooth Cat await their end.
